Finalmente y en lo que a cinturones de seguridad se refiere, Ford trae a Chile los primeros cinturones de seguridad inflables del mundo. Con el objetivo de disminuir todo tipo de presiones y stress en el conductor, Ford Motor Company ha introducido en el mercado el cinturón inflable con airbag para dos de sus asientos traseros, pensado especialmente para aumentar la seguridad de los menores de edad que generalmente son quienes viajan en esta posición dentro del auto.
Este sistema funciona gracias a sensores que determinan la severidad de la colisión frontal o lateral y en caso de accidente, un gas comprimido en frío infla el airbag sobre el torso.
Esta tecnología se encuentra disponible en el modelo Explorer Limited, que también estará presente en esta gran feria automotriz.
